There is something going on most weeks at Stanhope.
Our volunteer committee and carers work together with the residents to keep an interesting and varied time together. As you can see from the photos and video we have a lot of fun.
Being on the High Street here in Honiton makes it easy for us and others to come together to join in the activities and enjoy local news and events.
Carol and the team do a great job, organizing coffee mornings, celebrations at Easter, Christmas and at various other times throughout the year.
We all enjoy trips out to the seaside for an ice cream , or the shops at Christmas or over to the local garden centre to see the spring flowers and have a cream tea.
But, in this time we have not been able to do any of those things. Instead we have been creative and come up with things to do at home.
Every Thursday from 10-12 we have our Gardening Club
We have workout Wednesdays that take place un our lounge area where residents do gentle movement from their chairs
We like to support local charity events also and always welcome others into the home for a chat and coffee.
Since lockdown we have supported Devon Air Ambulance by our fundraising – through sales of produce, face masks, sponsored bike rides, etc. We have given nearly £1,500 in this short time.
